Grammar Notes

Tsumori desu "I plan to do"

Tsumori desu shows the speaker's intention. It can be translated into "I'm planning to do" or "I intend to do". This pattern follows the verb root form or nai form.
When the speaker states his intention which he had in the past, the root form + tsumori deshita is used.

Yotei desu "be expected" or "be scheduled"

Yotei is a noun meaning "schedule" or "plan"; e.g., raishuu no yotei "next week's schedule."
The Functional Pattern, verb root form or nai form + yotei desu means "be expected" "be planed" or "be scheduled" which is often used to state the schedule of a person or an event.
The functional pattern tsumori desu expresses the speaker's intention, whereas yotei desu doesn't express any intention.
