Getsu-yoobi wa gozen-chuu ame ga furi-soo desu.

Practice Each Sentence

1. Getsu-yoobi wa gozen-chuu ame ga furi-soo desu.

getsu-yoobi Monday, gozen-chuu in the morning
gozen a.m., -chuu during, while
ame ga furimasu to rain, ame rain, furimasu to fall (rain, snow)
-soo desu (stem +) it looks, it seems

2. Demo, ame wa hiru madeni yamu deshoo.

demo however, but, ame ga yamimasu stop raining (set phrase)
hiru noon, -madeni by (time), no later than
-deshoo expressing conjecture; should be, must be

3. Sonogo wa ii tenki ni narimasu.

sonogo after that, ii tenki nice weather, fine day, beautiful day
ii good, nice, fine, tenki weather
narimasu to become, come to

4. Tada, Moku-yoobi wa sukoshi ame ga furu kamo shiremasen.

tada however, moku-yoobi Thursday, sukoshi a little, a few, some
ame ga furimasu to rain, furu root form of furimasu; fall (rain, snow)
-kamo shiremasen expressing possibility; possibly, could be, probably, maybe

5. Demo, kion wa agatte, atatakaku narimasu.

demo however, but, kion (air) temperature
agatte te form of agarimasu; go up, rise
atatakaku narimasu it is getting warmer, it will be warmer
atatakaku ku form of atatakai; warm, narimasu to become, come to

6. Kore kara atatakaku nattari, samuku nattari, shimasu.

kore kara from now, samuku ku form of samui; cold
samuku narimasu it is getting colder, it will be colder
natta ta form of narimasu; become, come to
-tari, -tari, shimasu doing this and that alternatively

7. Soshite, dandan Haru ni narimasu.

soshite and, dandan gradually, little by little
haru spring, narimasu to become, come to
