Example sentences

1. Shuumatsu tomodachi to sukii ni ikimashita.

2. Kono sukii-joo ni wa shoshinsha-muke, chuukyuu-sha-muke,
soshite, jookyuu-sha-muke no koosu ga arimasu.

[place] ni [something] ga arimasu there is [something] in/at/on [place], -ni place marker; in, at, on
shoshinsha-muke (something) for beginner, -sha person, people, -muke (something) for, to
chuukyuu intermediate (level), jookyuu advanced (level)
koosu course, arimasu to exist, be at, there is, have

Shoshin-sha does not indicates "level", but "person".
"beginning level" is Shokyuu like Chuukyuu, Jookyuu.
You can say Shokyuu-sha like Chuukyuu-sha, but Shoshin-sha is more common.

3. Watashi wa sukii yori sunooboodo no hoo ga suki desu.

[A] yori, [B] no hoo ga suki I like [B] more than [A], I preffer [B] to [A]
-yori, -no hoo ga comparative pattern; more than / less than, suki [na] like, prefer

The Katakana word Gerende which is from German is commonly used to means "ski area" or "ski slopes".
